1. Once upon a time, there lived a very rich and wealthy

एक बार की बात है, एक बड़े शहर में एक बहुत अमीर और धनी व्यक्ति रहता था।

man in a big town. He led a luxurious life. He always

2. His son was studying in a distant city and he returned

home for vacation. The rich man wanted to show off to

his son how rich he was. But his son wasn’t fond of

उसका बेटा दूर के शहर में पढ़ाई कर रहा था और वह छुट्टियों में घर आया था। अमीर आदमी अपने बेटे को दिखाना चाहता था कि वह कितना अमीर है। 

any luxurious lifestyle. However, the rich man wanted

to make his son realize that his lifestyle was extremely

rich and poor people suffered a lot. He planned a

day’s visit to the entire town to show him the life of

the poor people.

। लेकिन उसका बेटा किसी भी तरह की आलीशान जीवनशैली का शौकीन नहीं था। हालाँकि, अमीर आदमी अपने बेटे को यह एहसास दिलाना चाहता था कि उसकी जीवनशैली बेहद अमीर है और गरीब लोग बहुत पीड़ित हैं।

3. The father and the son took a chariot and visited the

entire town. They returned home after two days. The

father was happy that his son was very quiet after

seeing the poor people honoring the rich man and

after witnessing the sufferings of the poor due to lack

of facilities.

4. The rich man asked his son, “Dear boy, how was the

trip? Have you enjoyed it?”

5. “Yes my dad, it was a great trip with you,” the son

replied.“So, what did you learn from the trip?” the father

asked.

6. The son was silent.

उसने उसे गरीब लोगों का जीवन दिखाने के लिए पूरे शहर का एक दिन का दौरा करने की योजना बनाई। पिता और बेटे ने एक रथ लिया और पूरे शहर का दौरा किया। वे दो दिन बाद घर लौट आए। पिता खुश था कि उसका बेटा गरीब लोगों को अमीर आदमी का सम्मान करते हुए और सुविधाओं की कमी के कारण गरीबों की पीड़ा को देखने के बाद बहुत शांत था। 

“Finally you have realized how the poor suffer and

how they actually live,” said the father.

अमीर आदमी ने अपने बेटे से पूछा, “प्यारे बेटे, यात्रा कैसी रही? क्या तुमने इसका आनंद लिया?” “हाँ मेरे पिताजी, आपके साथ यह एक शानदार यात्रा थी,” बेटे ने उत्तर दिया। “तो, तुमने यात्रा से क्या सीखा?” पिता ने पूछा। बेटा चुप था। पिता ने कहा, “आखिरकार तुम्हें एहसास हुआ कि गरीब कैसे पीड़ित हैं और वे वास्तव में कैसे रहते हैं।” “

“No father,” replied the son. He added, “We have only

two dogs, they have 10 dogs. We have a big pool in

our garden, but they have a massive bay without any

end! We have luxurious and expensive lights imported

from various countries, but they have countless stars

lighting their nights. We have a house on a small piece

of land, but they have abundant fields that go beyond

नहीं पिताजी,” बेटे ने उत्तर दिया। उसने आगे कहा, “हमारे पास केवल दो कुत्ते हैं, उनके पास 10 कुत्ते हैं। हमारे बगीचे में एक बड़ा पूल है, लेकिन उनके पास एक विशाल खाड़ी है जिसका कोई अंत नहीं है! हमारे पास विभिन्न देशों से आयातित शानदार और महंगी रोशनी है, लेकिन उनके पास अनगिनत सितारे हैं जो उनकी रातों को रोशन करते हैं। हमारे पास जमीन के एक छोटे से टुकड़े पर एक घर है, लेकिन उनके पास बहुत सारे खेत हैं जो क्षितिज से परे हैं।

the horizon. We are protected by huge and strong

walls around our property, but they bond with each

other and surround themselves with their fellow

beings. We have to buy food from them, but they are

so rich that they can cultivate their own food.”

The rich father was stunned and speechless, on

hearing his son’s words.Finally the son added, “Dad, thank you so much for

showing me who is rich and who is poor. Thank you

for letting me understand how poor we really are!”

True wealth is not measured by money and property!

True wealth is created in good friendships and

 हम अपनी संपत्ति के चारों ओर विशाल और मजबूत दीवारों से सुरक्षित हैं, लेकिन वे एक-दूसरे के साथ बंधे हुए हैं और अपने साथियों के साथ खुद को घेरे हुए हैं।  हमें उनसे खाना खरीदना पड़ता है, लेकिन वे इतने अमीर हैं कि वे अपना खाना खुद उगा सकते हैं। अपने बेटे की बातें सुनकर अमीर पिता दंग रह गया और अवाक रह गया। अंत में बेटे ने कहा, "पिताजी, मुझे यह दिखाने के लिए आपका बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद कि कौन अमीर है और कौन गरीब। मुझे यह समझाने के लिए धन्यवाद कि हम वास्तव में कितने गरीब हैं!" सच्ची दौलत को पैसे और संपत्ति से नहीं मापा जाता है! सच्ची दौलत अच्छी दोस्ती और दयालु रिश्तों से बनती है।
