मैं, साथ ही साथ मेरे दोस्त भी यहाँ हैं।


वो साथ ही साथ उसके तीन भाई अमेरिका जा रहे हैं।


He as well as his 3 brothers are going to America.


.As far as (जहाँ तक)


जहाँ तक मैं जानता हूँ, उसके दो बच्चे है।


As far as I know, he has two children.


जहाँ तक मुझे पता है, उसकी शादी हो चुकी है।


As far as I know, he is married.


जहाँ तक मेरी पढ़ाई का सवाल है, मैं सिर्फ 12 वीं पास हूँ।


As far as my study is concerned, I am only 12th pass.


जहाँ तक मेरे भाई का सवाल है, उसने ग्रैजुएशन कर ली है।


(Jahan tak mere bhaee ka sawal hai, usne graduation kar li hai.)


As far as my brother is concerned, he has done graduation.


जहाँ तक मेरे परिवार का सवाल है, मम्मी पापा के अलावा मेरी दो बहनें हैं।


As far as my family is concerned, apart from mom and dad, I have two sisters.


जहाँ तक मेरे पापा मम्मी का सवाल है, मैं उनका ख्याल रखने के लिए काफी हूँ।

Also/Even/Either/Too/As well (भी) 


Rules:


Also का प्रयोग प्रायः Negative वाक्यों में नहीं होता है।


‘Also’ is generally not used in negative sentences.


“Even”, “Too” और “As well” का प्रयोग Positive और Negative दोनों वाक्यों में होता है।


“Even”, “Too” and “As well” are used in both positive and negative sentences.


Either का प्रयोग हमेशा Negative वाक्यों में होता है।


‘Either’ is always used in Negative sentences.


NOTE : POSITVE:–Every in which sentence not used “Not”


Note: Positive sentence simply means the sentence, in which ‘not’ is not used, even though it’s an interrogative sentence.






न तुम जाओ न उसे जाने दो।     


(Na tum jaao na use jaane do.)


Neither you go nor let him go.


मैं न दिल्ली जाऊँगा न मुम्बई।   


(Main na Delhi jaunga na Mumbai.)


I’ll neither go to Delhi nor Mumbai.


न मैं दिल्ली जाऊँगा न वो।


(Na main Delhi jaunga na vo.)


Neither I will go to Delhi nor he will.


न तुम गलत हो न वो।    


(Na tum galat ho na vo.)


Neither you are wrong nor he is.


न मैंने उससे पूछा और न उसने मुझे बताया।      


(Na maine usse poocha aur na usne mujhe bataya.)


Neither I asked him nor he told me.


Not …… Neither / Nor ( नहीं ….. वो भी नहीं )


 


तुम नहीं आते, वो भी नहीं आता।           


(Tum nahi aate , vo bhi nahi aata.)


You don’t come, he doesn’t come either.


You don’t come. Neither does he.


You don’t come. Nor does he.


मैंने नहीं पूछा। न उसने पूछा।


(Maine nahi poocha. Na usne poocha.)


I didn’t ask. He didn’t ask either.


I didn’t ask. Neither did he.


I didn’t ask. Nor did he.


वो नहीं जा पाया। न मैं जा पाया।


(Vo nahi jaa paaya. Na main jaa paaya.)


He couldn’t go. I couldn’t go either.


He couldn’t go. Neither could I.


He couldn’t go. Nor could I.


So (वो भी)


तुम आते हो। वो भी आता है।


(Tum aate ho. Vo bhi aata hai.)


You come. He comes too.


You come. So does he.


मैंने तुमसे पूछा। उसने भी।


(Maine tumse poocha. Usne bhi.)


I asked you. He asked too.


I asked you. So did he.


वो ये सफलतापूर्वक कर पाया। मैं भी।


(Vo ye safaltapoorvak kar paaya. Main bhi.)


He could do it successfully. I could do it successfully too.


He could do it successfully. So could I.


Not only – but also (न केवल ये बल्कि वो भी  / यही नहीं वो भी)


 


वो न केवल मैनेजर है बल्कि मेरा दोस्त भी है। / वो मैनेजर ही नहीं, मेरा दोस्त भी है।


(Vo na kewal manager hai balki mera dost bhi hai / vo manager hi nahi, mera dost bhi hai.)


He is not only the manager but also my friend.


वो न केवल अंग्रेज़ी बल्कि पंजाबी भी बोल सकता है। / वो अंग्रेज़ी ही नहीं, पंजाबी भी बोल सकता है।


(Vo na kewal angrezi balki punjabi bhi bol sakta hai. / vo angrezi hi nahi, punjabi bhi bol sakta hai.)


He can speak not only English but also Punjabi.


Lest……should (कहीं ऐसा न हो कि, ये न हो कि )


Rule:    ‘Lest’ के बाद आने वाले वाक्य में ‘should’ का ही प्रयोग किया जाता है। (The sentence following ‘lest’ must use ‘should’ as a helping verb.)


मैं मेहनत करुँगा कहीं ऐसा न हो कि मैं फेल हो जाऊँ।


(Main mehnat karunga kahi aisa na ho ki main fail ho jaun.)


I’ll work hard lest I should fail.


सही पता लिखो कहीं ऐसा न हो कि कूरियर कहीं और चला जाए।


(Sahi pata likho kahi aise na ho ki courier kahi aur chala jaye.)


Write the correct address lest the courier should go somewhere else.


वहाँ मत जाओ ये न हो कि वो तुम्हें डाँटें।


(Vahan mat jaao ye na ho ki vo tumhe daante.)


Don’t go there lest he should scold you.


 Otherwise/ or else (नहीं तो, वरना )


 जब तक उन्होंने मुझसे नहीं पूछा, मैंने उन्हें नहीं बताया।


(Jab tak unhone mujhe nhi poocha, maine unhe nahi bataya.)


Until they asked me, I didn’t tell them.


Unless they asked me, I didn’t tell them.


Until and unless they asked me, I didn’t tell them.


Till they didn’t ask me, I didn’t tell them.


Till the time they didn’t ask me, I didn’t tell them.


जब तक उसने नहीं पूछा, हम चुप रहे।


(Jab tak usne nahi poocha, hum chup rahe.)


Until he asked, we kept quiet.


Unless he asked, we kept quiet.


Until and unless he asked, we kept quiet.


Till he didn’t ask, we kept quiet.


Till the time he didn’t ask, we kept quiet.


जब तक अमित मुझे अनुमति नहीं देगा, मैं चुप रहूँगा।


(Jab tak Amit mujhe anumati nahi dega, main chup rahunga.)


Until Amit allows me, I’ll keep quiet.


Unless Amit allows me, I’ll keep quiet.


Until and unless Amit allows me, I’ll keep quiet.


Till Amit doesn’t allow me, I’ll keep quiet.


Till the time Amit doesn’t allow me, I’ll keep quiet.


जब तक आप हाँ नहीं कहेंगे, कोई नहीं हिलेगा।


(Jab tak aap han nahi kahenge, koi nahi hilega.)


Until you say yes, nobody will move.


Unless you say yes, nobody will move.


Till you don’t say yes, nobody will move.


Till the time you don’t say yes, nobody will move.


By the time (जब तक)


As long as  (जब तक) = While = Till = Till the time


 


जब तक वो आया, मैं जा चुका था।


(Jab tak vo aaya , main jaa chuka tha.)


By the time he came, I had left.


जब तक आप अंग्रेज़ी सीखोगे, दुनिया फ्रैंच सीख रही होगी।


(Jab tak aap Angrezi sikhoge, duniya French seekh rahi hogi.)


By the time you learn English, the world will be learning French.


जब तक आप अंग्रेज़ी सीखोगे, मैं डांस सीखूँगा।


(Jab tak aap angrezi sikhoge, main dance seekhunga.)


As long as you learn English, I’ll learn dance.
