Mugal period established no contribution
If we have a look on history of Hindustan, the Mohammedan period started with 712A.D. and ended in 1857 and during this period they had been invading Hindustan, they had been looting, they had been plundering, they had been demolishing our places of worship, they had been destroying our culture, they had been converting us, they had been using all types of tyrannies over us, they had been introducing their own language over us, they had been turning us slaves, they had been turning us second-rated citizens in our own country, they had been looting our girls and women and it is on record that they had been selling those victims through auctions in their own countries. And all these excesses ultimately divided this country into two parts and now there are three parts of Hindustan, which was one. And if we go deep, we must note the things collected in Sikh Prayer. There is mention of extreme excesses and extreme tyrannies when the Sikhs recall that some Sikhs were subjected to extteme tortures when they were ' Puthiaan Khalla Lahiaan Giyaan, Aariaan Nall cheere gaiye, Charkharriaan te chahre gai, ubldiaan degaan wich bathai gai, tattiaan tawain te bithai gai, and it is on record that two small children of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji aged 7 and 9 were bricked alive in walls at Sir hind. These are extremes which the Mughals had committed and parcels are not found in any part of world history.
It is a tragedy with us that we could not takeover from the Mughals and the British took over from them and established their own rule in India. And when the British left India, we took over from them and when we count this British period, we come to the conclusion that all this administration, which we are following till date is the gifts given by the British. All this system of administration schools, colleges, training institutions, universities, research centers, hospital, medical colleges, departments, process of making laws, process of making rules and regulations, process of prescribing works for each department, functioning of police, military, courts and all these ranks in administrations had been established by the British and not by the Muslims.
And when we have a look on these parts of our history, we are bound to condemn the Muslim period and we could send a note of thanks to the British for their contributions to us and we can forgive them for the excesses which they had committed over us.
We must admit that in spite of setting up our elections and setting up Parliament and state level legislative assemblies, we are still having the old laws enacted by the British on our statute books and following those laws and even on this side, there is no contribution of the Muslim period.
Our children in schools and colleges do not like to read this period of history and therefore, time has come when the state and scholars must review and rewrite history of this Muslim period once again and give us something on which we could feel proud of.
