Mohit eats mangoes".

"(My friend Mohit) (is eating) (sweet mangoes")

1, "These are sentences (A group of words which has a combination of a subject and a verb and which gives a complete sense is called "Sentence"

2, Ques. What is the difference between the above two sentences?

Ans. First sentence:-

Mohit: Noun but no phrase

Eats:Verb but no phrase

Mangoes: Object but no phrase

Because twice are single words

Thus 2nd sentence:-

My friend Mohit: Nouns phrase

Is eating: Verbs phrase

Sweet mangoes: Adjective noun phrase. Because twice  groups are made of two or more words. 3rd point is two or more words of groups are not gives complete sense,

So these are"Phrases".

{A group of words which has no combination of subject and verb and which has no complete sense is called Phrase.}

  1.  Noun Phrase:

A beautiful lady asked me my name.

A Man in the window shouted for help.

They bought a huge expensive home.

  1. Verb Phrase:

He is playing cricket.

I can read English.

They have been playing cricket  since morning.

  1. Adjective Phrase:

She bought a beautiful white chair.

She gave me a cup of full tea.

  1. Adverb Phrase:

The racer was running very fast

He drives a car in a very high speed.

  1. Preposition Phrase:

She is sleeping on the carpet.

They looked at  the black bourd.

5 Advance Types Phrase

  1. Infinitive Phrase:

To get success is an ambition of everybody.

I enjoy to drive a car.

  1. Gerund Phrase

A crying (adj.) of a baby (noun) disturbs me.

He started writing (V4) a letter.

  1. Participle Phrase:

Running (noun)on the road, he fell down.

  1. Conjunction Phrase

He worked hard so that he may pass.

  1. Interjection Phrase:

What a pity! He is dead.
